  1. hey, email me. I am feeling the same way, or message me rather. Maybe we can help each other.I have some of the same problems

  2. I moved out of the house for the first time to try to get into pharmacy school in Jan...I kinda went through the same situation.

My friends and I didn't talk for a while because we are in different states and it was weird because we used to call each other to see if we had time to hang out.  When we hung out...that was when we did the talking.  I guess that because I was in a different state it was hard to relate to each other.

My mom freaked out too...but it was more like "Hey I don't think your going to get into the program...you should just come home."   She basically wanted me home...I am the only daughter and I think she had fun yelling at me in person.  I got into the program and now she's the complete opposite. It took her about 4 months to get used to the fact that I moved out.

As for a Job...it doesn't happen overnight.  I would try and get a loan and try to work on campus meanwhile.

Good luck!  Everything will get better.

  3. You got to feel happy moving to another town, there you can meet new friends, forget about your past life, think like a new journey you're about to discover. Try finding a job that doesn't pay much, it's easier for starters, when you have more experience the company can raise you more.

  4. Yes.  You had two major life changes - starting college and moving.  You should consult your student psych services (your school should have a free one) and get some help dealing with the stress.  For now, focus on what's going well.

Your mom is probably missing you - she's just expressing it by fighting with you (trying to push you away).  Try to just ignore her yelling - when she starts just agree with her and move on with your life.  She'll get over this stage.  Your friends are probably either unable to understand you (if they didn't go to college and you did) or too busy with school to call you.  Either way it's no good that they did that, but people get busy.  For the job search - can you try on-campus jobs?  I worked as a fundraiser for my undergrad university for 4 years and made well over minimum wage for this job.  It's hard but a good paying job.  Check everywhere on campus, the library, dining services, whatever.  As for talking with people, you need to give the new friends you're making time to get to know you before you dump on them.  Talk to someone like a RA or a psych services therapist or even try the dean of students.  Good luck!
