  1. I polevaulted all through high school. There are many different workouts you can do; your workouts should focus on upper-body strength, core strength, and speed. One of the best workouts would be working on high-bars that you could find at any Gymnastics place, these will help your upper-body and core strengths, as well as help you work on your turn. Also, any workouts you do such as agilities, you should do with your pole so running with your pole in your hand just becomes second-nature.
