I am a group owner, how can i change my status and make someone else in the yahoo group the owner?

First you must appoint a member as group owner.  It is wise to discuss this with the member, make sure that person understands what's involved, and actually wants to take on the  responsibility.  This is how to make a member an owner:

Click Members on left side of group page to open the members list.

Locate the member you want to make an owner.

Click "Edit" right underneath the member's name.

Click "Change to Owner".

Click "Make Owner".

You can then remain as an owner if you wish. (A group can have up to 15 owners/moderators)

Or after making a member an owner, you can change your status to Member.  If you wish, you can leave the group at that point.
