  1. Hmm, topping it can also be an issue of standing up during your swing. If you stand up, you'll either top it or whiff. Just concentrate on hitting the ball well, don't get flustered when you top it or your whole game will suffer because you are upset. Don't worry, you'll turn it around soon if you can identify what you're doing wrong and correct it.

What do you normally shoot by the way?

  2. try finding you handicapp that might help

  3. Shorten your swing. take the distance loss, and learn some control again. I line everything up on the heel of my clubs because i hit more shots on the middle that way. This game rocks, and i'm sorry for your misfortune. But i have shot 63 over nine on a bad day too. It was long ago, but if i lose my head, it could happen again. Go to the range, or see a pro for a lesson. You may find it within yourself at the range, and it will only cost a bucket of balls. If you go to the lesson shop a little more expensive, but twice as effective.

  4. Sounds as if you need a lesson or two in the basic golf swing . If you are topping the ball you may be placing the ball too far forward in your stance. You could also be swaying back to front instead of pivoting around a firm axis. That 63 is pretty miserable.

  5. Controlling your golf swing as a controlling several body positions consists of a steady of lower body (legs), lever length (arms and a club shaft), and body centre (navel) in which you may image that you swing in a box; not to much move your head, or think that your neck is a centre of a watch and your arms + shaft as a same piece is a hand of watch, as well as not to forget releasing your body tension, and swing with self-trust. After a clubhead impacted a ball will be follow-through phase meaning that you move your whole body weight to left leg and make finishing your swing.

  6. Most likely your looking up before you hit the ball. Looking up will cause you to top the ball and hit it off the toe. Try keeping your head down and watch the club hit the ball, then when you look up you will have a beautiful shot to watch!

  7. Don't stress about it, every golfer has those times. Try keeping your head down while you hit the ball, it will stop you from topping the ball.

    Have a good one...

  8. Try moving the ball back in your stance toward your right foot which should help with the topping.  Sometimes your setup to the ball can get way out of alignment without you realizing.  Concentrate on Alignment, Balance, and Tempo to get your swing back.

  9. Commit through the whole shot. I f you raise up at impact you will top the ball.
