I have moved before and started new schools in 2nd grade, 7th grade, and 10th. The school I went to when I moved to my current location was terrible so I am transferring to the one in the next town. I will be a junior and I know one girl who is new there too, but she already has friends from cheerleading and knew a few people from when she was younger. She has always lived in the state, but last year I didn't really meet many people because I was depressed about having to move. But this time I want to meet people and be outgoing so I am joining some clubs and doing more things. Like every new kid, I am worried about where to sit at lunch. You don't find out if you have 1st or 2nd lunch until the first day, which is tomorrow. I am planning on just asking someone I meet in class if I can sit with them, but I'm still nervous. Moving before hasn't really made it any less nerve racking. On top of that, I have a job interview at a very high class restaraunt tomorrow too. So any tips at all are appreciated!

  1. join cheerleading.easy way to make quick freinds

  2. dont worry about it, you'll find friends eventually...just ask some classmates you sit next to, and start a tiny convo, then ask when they have lunch...get close to the friend you know now and soon she will introduce you to her friends

  3. I just moved to a new school too. I'm a freshmen in High School and I moved this summer from Arkansas. I lived there for 10 years. It's hard. I've moved about 4 times in my life, but I only remember this ONE time. I really miss it and yes, I wondered where I would sit at lunch and friends, and all sorts of stuff. But, it's really not bad and I like my friends I have now. Sure I miss Arkansas but I love Mississippi now. Being the new kid isn't all bad. Although I'm not really comfortable with the attention I'm getting. I'm not that type of person. Just ask someone to sit with you. That's what I did and I sit with her everyday at lunch with some other kids. It'll be alright.
