  1. Swing is slow motion. Make sure that on your wrist c**k the toe is pointing at the sky. That should be at the first part of you swing. On your down swing right before you release the club the toe should be in the same position.  Try swing the Medicus. Never take the club back fast and then slow it down. That is called decelerating. Keep a good tempo though

  2. Sounds as if you are loosening the grip of your right hand at the  top of your swing which is giving the left hand the power to keep the club face open. A little firmer grip with the right hand with a slower backswing should alleviate the problem.

  3. Hi there,

    I sounds like you are dropping your wrists at the top of your swing.  If you feel the club opening at the top of your backswing try the following;

    1.  Slow down the swing

    2. Think 1/2 swing.

    I'm also a lefty and after a few video taped lessons, my instructor showed me that what I thought was a full swing was actually an exaggerated swing.  At the top of my backswing I would lose control and over swing cause the whole body to rise.  when I think I'm only doing a 1/2 swing on the tape it's actually almost a full backswing.

    Another Drill to try is to start with a 1/4 swing and generally keep at it increasing the length of the swing each time.  With a nice controlled SLOW swing you should feel were you are losing control and then be able to adjust for it.

  4. Your clubface is supposed to open as you take the club back, make sure the clubhead is not getting behind your body however. The toe of the club should be nearly straight up and the shaft should be pointing down the target line when you take the club back waist high. Now work on feeling the club "release" to the same postion on the other side.
