  1. Yes, you can, but some research is required BEFORE you make your plans to emigrate.  Note this is a two-part answer.

    First

This is a licenced position in Canada, and the licencing requirements are not the same in every Canadian Province, so you would first have to learn about the requirements of the Province you might prefer.

For example, Ontario has the largest population, and likely offers the most possibilities, so you could obtain the most accurate information by asking the Ontario Funeral Services organization. Here is their website:

    Second part.

You MUST ask about the equivalency of your licence and education.

Is your present licence and education fully recognized and directly transferable into Canada?

Immigration applications for Canada are processed based on paperwork, and Immigration gives credits for additional education, but your degrees and diplomas are not necessarily recognized by the Provinces.

This means you could feel great about passing all immigration requirements and come to Canada, but then find that you have to spend additional time in a school or college before they would grant you permission to practice the work you do now.

If they do fully recognize your education and experience  then you are ready to apply, but if they say you will have to get additional education in Canada in order to qualify, then you should know that you have to pay for the additional education, and you should ask them to tell you exactly what will be required.

It is VERY important to get this information from the licencing body  of the Province in which you prefer to work and live..
