  1. Enroll in a course  you'll  likely enjoy or love to do.

  2. Sink or swim....

  3. Yes, please leave the profession if you don't like it. Several marine engineers I worked with were asked to go offshore, on site, for a construction installation. They hated it and several of them quit. They just wanted to push pencils at their desks in the home office. They just complained about everything: the food, the living conditions, their co-workers. They made life miserable for us who enjoyed the challenge of the field work offshore.

  4. I was a Marine Engineer, Got a job ashore with a Lubricants company, then as a Technician in a school.  Lots of opportunities for a good engineer. Fix washing machines, become a plumber, do a course in Gas fitting and central heating. All sorts.

    best of luck

  5. Start fishing for money If you like to fish .If you dont ,thats werid cause your and marine eng.

  6. BECOME A PLUMBER. AS A JOURNEYMAN YOU MAKE 30 AN HOUR AS A HELPER FETCHING TOOLS AROUND 15 TO 20 HOURLY. IF YOU GET EXPERIANCE AND A CONTRACTOR LICENSE . A ONE MAN SHOW CAN MAKE 95 PER HOUR OR 200K A YEAR. PLUMBING IS VERY EASY.. I AM A CONTRACTOR.. GOOD LUCK
