I am a moderator of my group, but no box appears to delete members. How can I delete members?

One member has died, and others have moved away. I need to remove these members from our group. No box appears beside their member listing to allow me to delete them. I am the group's moderator, and my moderator status is shown on the page.

Likely your not the moderator.  However, if you think you are go to members then there is a Moderators tab at top, click that. Your name should be there with a blue crown next to it.  There might be several moderators. You might not have all abilities. Click edit membership.  At the bottom of that there are a lot of abilities and yours should have a green dot next to each one.  If not the real moderator has to make you a moderator (see Change to Moderator) and that guy can give you everything or just a few.

moderators have 9 priviledges an owner can give- to view yours click members list- moderator tab- edit membership below your ID- scroll down- green you can, red you cant

you need to speak with the owner before making any changes. privieldges are not default and most owners never give all 9 to anyone.

Not all group moderators have the privelege to delete members.  You would only have the power if the group owner selected it for you.  

If you do have the ability, once you go into edit membership for the person, you'll have a remove member button at the bottom of the page.  If you don't have the button, you'll need to ask the group owner to either give you this power or ask him or her to delete the members.
