This is just a shot in the dark. I am a curator of a small local history museum. As a large park of sustaining ourselves, we need to hold fundraising events.
Here is my problem. I am in a rut. I have done everything I can think of and I'm tired of the standard fundraising events.
I've held all the teas, annual dinners and craft workshops that I can handle. So I am turning to the non-museum community for help.
Does anyone have any suggestions for fun - low cost, events that you think people would attend.
As I said before, I have done the standard Quilt Shows, Craft Fairs, Heritage Dinners, Open Houses, Pioneer Days, etc. etc.
I need unique and innovative ideas, that are practical and as easy to put on as possible. (I'm a staff of one!)
Please help me out with any ideas you guys may have that will help me raise some money to keep my job here at the museum!
Also, just so you know, my museum doesn't have a kitchen so most food related events are not possible.
