I am a new Muslim girl with a valid residence visa in Ajman wishing to get married to a Muslim man who holds a valid residence visa in Dubai. We have done alot of research on how to get married in Dubai but are currently facing some problems with the attestation of the NOC issued by my consulate (Pakistani Consulate in Dubai) by the Justice Department in Dubai. They just won't attest it. What are we doing wrong? Without this legal paper, we can't move forward. We've been on this for months now!

Can anyone please go over the requirements of Marriage in U.A.E. again in case we are missing out on something and if you do know how to help us better, please feel free to leave a comment.

Ministry of justice does not have anything to do with you getting married unless after you got married in a curch, temple etc. These marriage certificates then have to be translated and be certified by minitry of foreign affairs and justice in Dubai.

I assume that your material legal status has to be certified by the UAE Embassy and foreign ministry in your home country.

In case you have all necessary papers and you are still running into problems, please ask the certain authorities what exactly you have to provide. Rules and Laws can change here really fast without prior notice.

All the best and good luck!
