I am a new driver. Where can I find a map on the web for the side streets and no freeways?

I live in Stanton, CA and as a new driver, I'm still not used to taking the freeway 5 or 405.

Short term. try www.mapquest.com and select "avoid freeway/highways" under additional options. Long term just relax and use the freeway. It's much faster and trust me, even so cal freeways are not that bad when you get used to them.

Buy a Thomas Guide.  It will show you everything.  It is a definate must for new drivers.  Always a good idea to have one in your car.
