I have damaged my car in the parking lot twice. Thank GOD not to the other peoples cars but to the poles. I get so scared to see the poles. Will it have negative marks on my licence as there was no body involved? Will I have to pay lot more insurance. I feel like not to drive at all.

  1. First of all be positive....you made the effort to get your license in your 30's and got it....that is great!  Hitting a pole is only causing damage to your car so insurance doesn't need to get involved.  Pay for repairs yourself and forget about it.  You just need to drive more to get more confidence in your ability.  When you have to park in parking lots try to avoid spots where there are poles because they are tricky for everyone however, the longer you drive the easier it will get.  Don't let this make you lose confidence in yourself....keep on driving and if you can find an empty lot somewhere practice parking by poles to overcome your fears.

  2. Unless you reported the damage to your insurance company you won't have to pay any more.

  3. well dont stop completly u just need more practise and no worrys my dad has ran into a few poles and i dont think insurence went up in price

  4. It will still affect your insurance if you get it fixed....

I suggest you get a friend that knows how to drive and have them teach you to park better, if you keep damaging your car it will turn into a piece of ****
