Can anyone send an IM if they know your address or does it have to be approved first.

If a webcam is activated is viewing restricted to only the people you allow or anyone with your address?

Yes, Anyone can send an IM if they know your account.But once you know his, you can ban it.

You can give or not to give a permission to anyone to view your good looking face :).

If I knew what your yahoo ID was I could send you an IM UNLESS you have it set in your preferences to Ignore anyone who is not on your messenger list. Messenger > preferences>ignore list

As for the web cam you need to go into your messenger preferences and check the Always ask for permission, that only the people you approve can see you on cam.
