Question:

I am a parolee who has been locked up sense 13 years old i am 27 now. what Grants if any can i get?

im trying to figure out if because ive been locked up so long and a ward of the court when i was a kid..do i have any federal or state grants available to me? for school or housing? or anything like that..i am now on california state parole.

  5. How good for you that you are looking to make a new future for yourself.  

    Don't give up.  Getting through the system can be overwhelming at times.  Just keep taking every step you can as you can.  Progressing forward.

    Even if it means taking one class to start...you have begun!

    Pick out a local community college and then just walk in and ask to speak to someone from financial aide.   You can also ask to speak to a councilor.  Anyone of these people will help you through the process.

  6. Go to the school that you want to attend, and talk to them. They know all of the places that give grants/loans .
