I have had one client and all was good except he can't afford the service on a regular basis. I have tried a website and craigslist and no success. My goal is to have just one client a week for a start. This isn't a huge goal. I just need some straight forward advice. Also I am on a limited marketing budget and plan to make my own fliers. If anyone would like for me to cook for them or have some real world advice would be greatlly appreciated.

Thank You,

chef Joe

  1. Put yourself  in the shoes of a person looking for a personal/private chef. How would they find one?

1- referral/word of mouth - your current client is your best advertisement

2-  contacting a personal chef agency- join one

3- contacting a personal chef association - join one

4- ask some in the industry- leave your card with hotel managers, country clubs, etc..

5- leave a nice card/poster flyer (professional) in high end gourmet markets-- like Wholefood Markets-- etc...
