I am a pitcher ; please answer & help me out?

Question

i have played softball for 5 years . i play for 2 different teams in different age groups. i am a kinda fast pitcher & very consistent . but we win alot of games for the younger team when i pitch but for the older team when our other pitcher isn't doing good / i go in to pitch but the batter's always hit off of me;;;

is it because i am not a good pitcher for that team or because the batter's are older & better???

no your not a bad pitcher because of that, these players are older and have a little bit more experience with hitting. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

i played in an older league vs the best team i had a no hitter going into the 6th inning. i ended up with a 2 hitter. it all about where you place the pitch  because i dont pitch too fast lol. good luck

older batters have seen more pitches so that usually means better batter. a good hitter can eventually time a 747. speed only works if you have other pitches to throw at them. most hitters get their timing of off of a pitching machine. learn how to change speeds (change up/ off speed) and break planes (drop, s***w, curve, rise). even a two seem and 4 seem fastball reacts differently. work on wrist spin this creates movement. i use a 14 year old to pitch in 16 u and she is not extremely fast ( around 56 mph) but her junk keeps her pitching for me

I also play softball and in almost all cases, the pitchers aren't as good at hitting because they spend more time working on the pitching. Don't worry about it! If they're giving you grief about your hitting, just remind them about your pitching. Not being as good at batting is 100% normal, so don't worry.

Batters are older and better.  With age comes experience.  If you want to continue to be a good pitcher, you must adjust to the better batters.  You may be able to throw by the younger batters, but you obviously cannot do that to the older batters.  Work on your location and changing speeds.  It is ok if they hit the ball, but by keeping their timing off you can still be successful.

Welcome to baseball. It is not because you are a bad pitcher. It is because the batters are older and more experienced. One year makes a big difference. In one more year your pitching will be a lot better. Keep working hard and every year you will see big improvement in your pitching.

its because the batters are better, they are used to seeing better pitching so they can hit off of you. I am sure that by the time you reach the age of the rest of the players, you will be harder for them to hit. Either faster or have more movement on your pitches.

batters are better when they get older and you just gotta be that much more up on your game when for the older team and if they're still hitting off you then just trust your defense and try to just throw pitches that will get grounders or pop-ups
