I live in south fl and want to move to north carolina.I want to know if the plumbing is different and if so what are some of the differences

  1. As long as you are in the USA all the plumbing is the same. You will have to transfer your license though. Good luck on the move!

  3. As for the most part, plumbing is the same!

    Hot water is on the left, p**p flows downhill, and payday is on Friday!

    No really, it is basicly the same except the differences in the digging is harder here in NC. We have red clay here in the Piedmont region, very rocky in the mountains, sandy along the coastal areas. Local plumbing codes differ, so what is in "code" for south Florida may not be acceptable here, I don't know.

    Also not that many houses are built on a concrete slab, most have crawl spaces.

  4. plumbing is different in every area . due to temperature differences  for example .   and many states require that you take their  plumbing exam and you can't just transfer your license .  some states follow different plumbing codes , some states require you reside in the state for a period of time before you are even eligiable to set for the master plumbers exam . some states don't require a test at all or even apprenticeship time .
