I am a plus sized model (measuring 34-30-50). What are nice poses for a beach shoot?

I will be shooting this saturday and I would like to have the correct poses for my body shape. I am pear shaped and you can try to see my picture on my profile...I will make it public, check out my picture and tell me what you think I should do as far as poses.

well, uh, that pose you have in your avatar is really hot. I don't think its really the pose as much as it is what you are wearing when you pose. Sometimes two women of equal attractiveness will ahve the exact same pose, but one will look hot while the other will look ugly becuase of the outfit they are wearing

The plus industry is very conservative, so while your avatar shot is hot, it's totally inappropriate for the plus industry. You would do well to visit plus size retailer websites to see what really sells in terms of plus size model images. Go to www.juniona.com, www.lanebryant.com or check out nordstrom.com for their plus fashions. You'll find top agency girls modeling clothing on those sites, and you'll see what kinds of poses they get paid great money to do.

You are way too proportioned to be a professional model, so I assume that you are doing this for a friend, for a website or in the hopes of getting signed. If you do want to get agency interest, you'll need to get your hip measurement more in line with your bust - the ideal stats for plus size models reflects a 10 inch difference between bust and waist and then the hip. It's hard to get that level of perfection, but your bust and hip should be in closer proximity. You'd be more marketable if you can get closer to 35 or 36 inches on your hip.

The photos that you shoot should be simple, well-lit and not overly s**y if you want to show them to an agent. Imagine you're shooting for a JCPenney catalog and you should be fine.
