I am a rookie at running any suggestions?

my Husband runs 5ks half marathons and full marathons and I would really like to join him starting off with 5ks. I have never ran as a workout before so I want to ease into it. What do you suggest i do everyday? How many mins should I run everyday? Whats easier street or tredmill?

  2. You are on the right track! You know what you want, to run with your husband! You know you are a rookie.

    Being a beginner, you must start smoothly to build up the habit of working out regularly.

    Start with simple routines, such as running three days and walking alternately.

    Gradually you will improve until you can run the 5K and more.

    Don't make the common mistake most do," Challenge your husband" or "Compete with him" nor "Compare with him" . You said he is a marathon runner.
