  1. It will in Germany, so I suspect it might in France. But you have a h**l of a way ahead of you. Grandmother, Grandfather  birth certificates, your parent's certificates. The application itself etc. It will take months on end, so start now!

    .....Oh, okay well

    Maybe you should get your mother to apply for citizenship and go from there. All I know is that you must prepare yourself for the gruelling bureaucratic procedures that sap all your nerves. But do it!

    I now this from the German AND English side.

  2. the fact that your grandmother is french ,unfortunately does not help you to acquire a EU passport ....if your mother had taken the french nationality  trough her mother ,you could have gotten the french nationality trough dues process;

    if you were born in France

    FRENCH CITIZENSHIP BY BIRTH:

    Child born within the territory of France, regardless of the nationality of the parents.

    FRENCH CITIZENSHIP BY DESCENT:

    Child born abroad, at least one of whose parents is a citizen of France.

    the only way to stay longer in the UK ?if your employer could lengthen your working visa

    :-)
