I am a teacher and i was wondering if there were good clubs that i could start to get my class to recycle?

i am a teacher and our school is suposidly eco friendly but we dont have any clubs that our school can join and to get them to recycle could some people help me with this please?

oh, that is a fantastic idea! I hope more teachers will follow suite. I really love the idea of a "garden club" maybe at the end of the season the club could make a big meal and have an eco-friendly party with any veggies grown.

On my high school campus, the students started a Sierra Club. Last year they had boxes that were labeled for recycling paper, bottles and can. They were able to raise money for a camping trip in the spring.  Since the Sierra Club is an actual club, you may want to look on their website to get some ideas for your school.

NWF - National Wildlife Federation has a beautiful program for kids that can include recycling. It is specially designed to be used in schools. Internet classes are free and teach a lot about wildlife to all ages. It is worth evaluating for whatever you can use. Learning about wildlife, even in the city teaches about what damage recyclables left around where they don't belong can do to animals whether wild or pets.

Why dont you have a garden club. or recycling club. whoever recycles the most gets a price or something. bring a person to tell them about recycling.
