  3. Well you would need to have assurances from your kids that they would help. Puppies are a lot of work, they grow into adult dogs and they live up to 15 years. You need to look into the future too. They also need a lot of attention and training if you want to have a good family pet. It's a bit like adding another person to the family.

    If you are at work through the day and you have a puppy, you really need someone to come in to let them out for some exercise and the toilet. Bored puppies can cause a lot of mess! When they are small they need structure to their day. They also need puppy training, vet visits etc.

    It's a lot of responsibility and choosing the right dog for your lifestyle is very important, but if you and your family are willing to put the work in, a dog can bring a lot of fun and joy.
