I am a teen, and I am going to sleepaway camp. I have to label my clothes, etc. Will sharpie work?

I don't want it to bleed onto other people's clothes when the camp does laundry, or fade over the month and a half I'm there.

Sharpie is not the best. You can use some masking tape and pen. If not try like a pin. Or a name tag.

using a black sharpie on the tags of your clothes is what i use to do when i went away to sleep away camp.

yes sharpie works great, but write it in a inconspicious place. on the tag works great but someone could always cut that off...the seam on the inside of the clothes works good also.

Sharpie works.  It won't bleed into other people's clothes - thats ridiculous.  Another option is using a name stamp - all you have to do is buy a stamp (online or through a military web store), set your name up on it, and then stamp your name across the lining of your shirts, undergarments, etc.

The ink WILL fade over a month because its ink, so you will have to re-mark your clothing as required.

sharpie always works what i would do is thin ones because fat ones tend not to be legible and may i suggest all colors

As long as it says "Permanent Marker" it will be ok. Write your name on the very bottom inside hem of shirts and waistbands on trousers and underwear's and toes of sox.

yup!  Sharpie doesn't come off very easily... or it takes a while.

Sharpie also makes a marker that is made to go through the wash without coming out or fading.  They only come in black and I found mine at the drug store.

I would say to use sharpie and take one with you so if it fades you can write it again!!!

i remember camp when i was a teen!

it was so much fun and i worried about the same kind of things.

but i always used sharpie to label my clothes. i would label it a few days before you go to camp though to give it time to dry. it definitely wont fade over the time you are there. but if it does happen to fade i would bring an extra sharpie along to relabel your clothes.
