I am a teen, how to make money with ehow?

My friend is under 18 and so am I. Her parents signed her up for ehow.com and all she does is write articles and they pay her. Her parents get sent a 1099 tax form at the end of the year which she pays with some of the money she earned. My parents think its a scam because of the taxes. I know its not because my friend does it and Ive searched the internet and everything on ehow. Could I give them my info and pay the taxes in my name even though I am under 18?

  1. As a minor, your parents will need to sign a tax return for you.  The return is easy to do if you received money from just one source.  I have done my teenage daughter's tax returns for several years.  But you would technically need one of your parents to sign your tax return, which reports the income you made and whatever taxes you owe.

I answered you because I saw three of those "scammers" you refer to.
