  1. age shouldnt play a major part in the motivation of a team. i am reasonably high in a waterpolo club though am taking a year off serious training for school. one of my friends (18 years) is playing the highest grade you can in Australia at club level and moves his team (ages between 17-26) all the time. just be enthusiastic and make everything you do seem like a game or a challenge. if it is fun, or exciting to do something, even the basics, people will put more effort in as they wont want to fall behind the others.

  2. I think there is only one way for you, and that is to lead by example. It usually the best way to get respect anyway. Certainly no one can complain if youre doing the work too, and harder than they are. They will follow.
