  1. If you have to ask "Should I sue", then the answer is NO.

If you were bit by a Poodle would you sue?

if doesn't matter what bit you..The question should be, "Am I seriously injured", 'Did I suffer a loss"?  "Am I able to work"? "Do I have medical bills that are uncovered since this dog bit me"?

Why did the dog bite you?  Did it jump out of no where and attack you?  Does the dog pose a public danger?

Did you inform the dogs owners?

people that sue just to sue and usually the ones complaining about high insurance premiums.  Be a decent person and ask yourself if you have moral ground to sue and figure it out.

im sure lots of scum sucking attorneys would take on the case though.

  2. No.  You are  a representative of UPS, an employee. You have no right to confront a dog  or its owner or a customer. That is the responsibility of your dispatcher.

if you were bit, then you have the right to seek medical attention, and have it  paid for by workman's compensation.

Good grief! Why is the first question out of anybody;s mouth "Can I sue???"""

  3. try and see you will never no till you call and talk to att.wish you lot luck

  4. did it happen while you were on duty? if so, you need to check company policy for this kind of thing. workman's comp covers injuries sustained while on duty.

  5. If you were severely injured or maimed, then you should file some worker's compensation claim perhaps, and you could sue the homeowner of the dog. If it's just a little bite, it would not be worth the trouble. You're in the delivery business ... dogs bite ... carry some pepper spray. We have enough lawsuits in our courts already. Good luck, and you all at UPS do a great job!

  6. That's up to you. If your workmens comp payed for any medical, keep your paperwork in case there is any remaining damage or scaring.

  7. Yes, if you think the dog is a danger to others so the next time it bites it might be put down. You probably don't need to sue just file a police report. If you need medical attention you might need to sue to get their homeowners ins to pay.

  8. Make sure you report it.  That way - if the dog is a habitual offender it will get put down.  I know it's sad for the poor dog who is only doing what they think is right - but , PEOPLE control your animals!
