  1. In fact if you recognize the children on his birth act, the baby ll have the nationality of the country he is born and also the US citizenship if you ask for it at your embassy

he ll keep the doble nationality till his majority and ll be able to choose himself

i dont know the country your gf ll live but your biggestt problem can be to have her family come and kill you if you make her a baby without marry her.

  2. The baby could be born on a raft in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and it would be a citizen of whatever country you and the mother CHOOSE it to be...

I don't know what country your gf is from so I will use my family as an example...

My uncle married a woman from the UK. She had 2 children while in the UK, before she married my uncle...

Her children now have DUAL CITIZENSHIP between the UK and the US because their mother is now a US Citizen and their father is a British Citizen.

The male lives in the UK full time...

The female lives in the US full time...

Yet they can BOTH go back and forth as they choose because of their parent's citizenship.

They can each DENOUNCE one or the other of their citizenship... But no one can "Take Away" their rights to see either of their parents.

That whole thing about "You are a citizen wherever your born" is a MYTH...

    I'll say it again...

    A

    M

    Y

    T

    H

If you are on vay-cay in Mexico and you give birth... Your child is NOT a Mexican citizen... It is a citizen of whatever country you and your partner are...

Can you imagine how much bullshit you would have to go through if that Myth were true??

"Sorry mam... your baby isn't a US Citizen, she was born in Brazil... You have to leave her at customs!"

    BULLSHIT...

That myth keeps getting spread around because of all the Illegal Immigrants in the US that come here and breed... Their children ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY US CITIZENS!!

The can get shipped home right along with mommy and daddy... People just don't like to talk about that...

  3. The baby would be a citizen of the country he/she is born in.

  4. Those people earlier where just making that stuff up, of course your baby would be a US citzen.

  5. Register the child at a US embassy and you will not have a problem. The child will be a US citizen. As far as other countries go the laws are different.

  6. No. The baby is a citizen in the country it is born in.

  7. The baby would be a US citizen if she was born in the United States. Otherwise she will be a citizen of what ever country the baby is born.

  8. No they would follow the mother's citizenship.

  9. Bakunyū and Dokar are correct, your child will be an American citizen, with some exceptions. If you have not spent 5 years within the territory of the US (3 years must be after your 14th birthday) your child will not be a US citizen. If you do not recognise the child as yours, your child will not be a US citizen. If you do recognise the child as yours, you have spent 5 years in the US and you register the child's birth with the US embassy/consulate in the country your child is born, your child will be a US citizen.

If your have not spent 5 years in the US, your child can still become a US citizen if your parents have satisfied this time requirement, if you apply for the child's citizenship through the Child Citizenship Act of 2000.
