I am a vegan so i can't eat fish...where do i get my phosphate?

my mom said that if you don't eat fish than you don't get phosphate what the h**l is phosphate anyways and do i really need it in my body she says something about how it's good for your brain! but i don't know!!

  1. Potatoes, Lima beans, green peas and artichoke are a great source. Though, I think it's phosphorus.

    It sounds like she is thinking of Omega-3s which are found in flax seeds and algae.

  6. Phosphates are found in saltwater.  Plants need phosphates, humans do not.  I think your Mom is thinking of Omega 3 which is found in fish and is good for the brain  (and the heart).
