I am a slow runner, like I am slow, really slow, please help me be a better runner, to let you know, I am not good at all at.

  4. Start running everyday, you probably aren't used to it.

  5. Did i seriously see someone say to run on a treadmill!?!?!?!? You will not get close to as much faster as you will running outside on a treadmill.  Just run everyday.  If you are going slow, dont worry, even if you feel self-concious with cars and other people.  Just think you are going out doing this for yourself, and that more than half the people in their cars could not run at all.  Start with about 2 miles(if you cant go that far, than go as far as you can/ if you can go farther, go for it) and just work your way up.  THe first two weeks are the hardest, and everyday is going to be a struggle getting out of your house.  Just remember the first two block will not be fun because you are just starting, but just remember to not turn around, because you will get warmed up and soon feel better.  Also, if you can only go a block before you completely lose breath, than go as far as you can than just walk for about 20 seconds(you dont want to completely recover/have your heartrate drop)

  6. run everyday - start off at just running up to two miles a day and then build up to 50 miles a week

    two days out of the week go to the track and do repeat 400s (1 lap)

    and do one long run of about 8-11 miles

    if you dont wanna do all the complicated stuff just get out and run everyday and i guarantee you will get a lot better

  7. It's ok, everybody has to start somewhere.  First off don't be in too big of a hurry to get faster, it's an easy way to injure yourself.  Now the pros do speedwork/weight training once a week.  Weight training is pretty self explanatory, but speedwork involves short but fast repetitions.  

    Best way is to find a track and either do 100m or a full lap(quarter mile).  Run at about 75-90% of top speed for each rep, then rest.  This not only builds muscles for speed, but improves your form and your lung capacity.  Good luck!

  8. I used to be a slow runner and what I am about to say, trust me, it works. Run every day if you can, if not, try every other day. You must run even though you are very tired, it helps condition you. What happens is that when people get tired they usually stop running when they are comfortably tired, not when they are dead tired. If you run every other day until you are dead tired, trust me, you will get better.

  9. Jump roping is a good way to be faster. also if your in good shape it should haelp also. try to run a mile everyday to get you better.  if you run short lengths then try to run accelerations. like go half speed then 75% then full out sprint.   juss run alot a jump rope alot

    Go on the treadmill to build up your stamina,

    set yourself goals of how much you want to run with a time limit.

    Test yourself.
