I am a web designer and I was wondering if there was way to see what sites have links to your site? ?

I didn't know if there was a website or some sort of software that you could plug in a url and see what outside pages link into the url.

do a google search for

link: yoursitename.com

it will show you all sites that a link to your site (based on google search results).

Most webhosts have logs that show HTTP Referrers, so you can go look and see exactly what websites are linking to you.  Googling it won't necessarily work, if they have a link to your site with text that says "click here", then it won't show it.

If you go look at the statistics in your log files then you can know exactly who is looking at your websites from where.
