I would like to get into business but I do not have any experience in doing my own business.

I have been advised to look at products produced in China to sell here, but the thing is that I have no idea where to start.

- What products?

- Who to buy from (there are a million factories producing the same thing)?

- How to get them shipped (container or air freight)?

- How do I pay for them?

- Are the factories trustworthy?

- Are there agents that I can go through who will pick up products from several different factories and ship them to me if I pay them in advance?

If you have any advice or guidance you can give, your help will be most helpful. Thanks in advance as I cant thank you later.

  1. If you don't have experience in businesses, then I would suggest looking into a home based business.  Most home based businesses are businesses that have been collaborated with large corporations.  Basically a business within a business.  The large corporation have programs that teach you how to build your business in that industry and help you earn an income as you learn the business.  You don't want to go into business not knowing all the how to's and the what not's, would you?

The products would be whatever that industry has to offer.  There are a wide variety of industries that give you business opportunities to do business with them.  Who would you buy from?  Some businesses don't require you to buy anything from them, your just an Independent distributer where you simply use their catalogues and pamplets, or the Internet etc.  When an order comes in, they drop ship them for you.  While other companies do require you to purchase the products from them and you sale them in various different ways.  Usually person to person or through a web site and your responsible to ship the products out.  Most people with these types of businesses use either UPS or Fed Ex.  The factories are well known, so yes they would be trustworthy.

As far as agents that you can go through, it depends on what industry you go into.  Most of these types of business, are easier to manage, run and deal with then what your thinking is involved.
