  1. i really hate your kind, your all just a bunch of insincere, self-entitled, overpriviledged rich people who wanna associate with us real proletariat in order to feel cool.

And you probably dont even speak french anyway.

  2. You might like the Lonely Planet travel guides, and if you are planning to stay in hostels you should invest in a Hosteling International membership, and get a ISIC card (International Student Identity Card) for great discounts.  Globe Trekker is a great show on PBS, and many libraries have episodes available for checkout.

  3. easy!  Hipsters like out-of-the-way places in Paris (and anywhere really) so finding the right spots is not easy - Champs Elysees is not the place to look.

Here are top "hipster" hang-outs in Paris:

    1. Oberkampf area; especially closer to Fils de Calvary.  There are a bunch of very cool clubs, bars, cafes, and restaurants here that cater to the youngish hipster scene in Paris.

    2. Canal Saint Martin in the 10th and 19th arrondissements; line with very cool botiques, cafes, bars.  Start walking from the south end of the Canal (near Republic) and go north.  Here you'll come across a ton of very cool places secretly tucked away along the canal and its side-streets.  My fav is "Bar Ourcq" in the 19th.  But, go on a Friday evening or early evening/late evening on Saturday.  If the weather's nice it will be filled with youngish hipsters playing boule/petanque, drinking demis along the canal.  Another place that is very well hidden but very popular on Friday/Saturday/Sunday is the fire station area on Quai de Valmy near Jaures.  If you walk down the Quai you'll find a nice spot there very popular in this quarter.

    4. The streets around Republique tend to be a good place to look as well.

There are a bunch of magazines to check out while you're here and too many to name.  The place at the firehouse on Quai de Valmy will have all of them in a stand near the door.
