  1. The best way to be fit for cloubs is to see a pro at a course or golf shop.  They have guides to use for fittings.

In my opinion, you are most likely going to want either youth or women's clubs  for length, which probably is about 1 or 2 inches shorter than standard men's lengths.

  2. I wouldn't say that your need a custom length shaft on a driver.  I would stick to a club that has a standard length shaft (45") because your a little bit on the shorter side.  If I were you I would definitely not get one of the new drivers such as the TaylorMade Burner or the Callaway FT-i simply because they come standard with a 46" shaft (I believe).  I would do some research online before buying a new driver, and make sure you get a club that is not too long for you.  This would cause you to hit a lot of shots off the heel of the club because it would most likely turn out to be a little bit too long for your height.

For a putter, its all personal preference.  They typically come anywhere from 33"-35", and 33, 34, and 35 are the most common.  You should try a bunch of them out and see which one you think fits you best.  If you cannot test out any putters before buying one, I would go with a 34" because you can't really go wrong.  If you decide to get a 33" you might find out it is a little bit too short.  On the other hand, a 35" putter might feel too lengthy.

    So all in all:

    Driver - 45" shaft

    Putter - 34" shaft

But once again, I am not a fitting professional, and cannot make the perfect selection for your game.  These are just estimations based on your height.  However, I do think this combination should work out fine for you.

  3. Proper club length has nothing to do with height, only the distance between your hands and the ground.  If your arms are in proportion to your body then standard length clubs will be fine.  If your arms are short then you need longer clubs and vice versa.
