  1. speed training is needed... run 40meter sprints until u are sick...so it frequently (once every 2 days) for about 2 weeks and your speed wll drastically increase.... if u vomit afterwards u know u getting faster and fitter

  2. The best way would train on our own inbetween trainings. Practice 50 metre sprints. Also make use a a leg press at the gym.

  3. A simple way that ive gotton in better conditioning for running are just simply running cases of stairs.  It works out your quads, hamstrings and calves and you get rest on the way down the stairs. Also a regular workout routine with leg curls and leg press would be a good idea to do as well. Good luck with rugby..

  4. go talk to the sprinters on your schools track team. see what they have to do for training. start doing that.

    definitely do plyometrics.

    definitely do sprints

definitely work on your leg strength

  5. you need to start doing strength and power training which will improve you explosiveness, giving you faster acceleration. join a gym and ask a Trainer. Do alot of 10m sprints, 20m sprints and 40m sprints. train 3 times per week for example...do 10 10m sprints, then 5 20m sprints then 5 40m sprints. if you are disciplined you will see great results. The other thing i wud do is join an athletics club, then you can be taught the proper sprinting technique which will increase you speed from just learning how to run properly. You wont have to pay the coach becoz most athletics clubs provide a sprint coach if you pay a membership fee. hope this helps.
