My indoor only cat won't have a problem getting along with the puppy, but he sometimes goes too far when playing and i don't won't him to accidentally hurt the puppy. he is almost a year old and has very sharp nails. i don't want get his tendons removed and i would NEVER dewclaw him. i heard about soft claws where you put these little plasticy claws over them, but i'm not sure if they work. has anybody ever used them before and have any tips, suggestions, or anything else to help this problem? i've also heard that they are hard to get off. is this true?

  1. Soft paws are great!

    I use them.

All you do it press on his paw so his claw comes out put the tip on (put glue on tip) and there good to go.

They are not hard to get off, as he grows they will fall off or they will fall off after awhile.

The hardest thing to do with soft paws is get them on.

I recommend doing it when he's sleeping.

  2. they did a study on the peticure on a tv news station and it rated as it performed poorly. meaning it is an as for TV gimmic just buy some cat clay clippers. be sure to not cure the red vein if you cannot see the bein just cut the sharp tip off your cats claws. Here is a link of the exact one I have. It makes a clean cut not jagged edges. I love it.

  3. if you want your cat more comfortable and happier than before you can get him a pedicure or buy that peticure thing from t.v. then u can use it on your poodle too! you wont have to worry about getting him declawed or putting plastic rubber things on which may make him uncomfortable. and it is probably hard to get a cat to stay still enough to let you put little rubber things on his claws. i know i wouldn't.
