  1. Well said Barr M.

Maybe even starting on a 125 would not be a bad idea.

  2. No disrespect,But let me get this right......You want to start racing 250's but you want to go to 450's?

If you are about to start racing you need to start in the 250's and learn the terrain and the control of your bike in competition. I'm not trying to shoot you down. But, 450's are Monsters and if you have never raced before on a 450 the you really don't know their power, start in 250's and tune your skill and if you want to. Practice on a 450 for a little while and learn it's power and weight control.

All I'm saying is.... A 450 can get away from you very quickly and hurt you and other people, Just take your time and don't be so anxious.

  3. first you should start in the 250 class because you never raced before like in a year or 2 go to the 450 class

  4. Generally you don't want to start in the premier class unless you are just way too heavy for a lites bike. I am 190 and a 250F does fine for me other than having to make suspension adjustments. The difference going from a 250F to a 450F is huge!! It takes a very experienced racer to handle that power under race conditions. Just my opinion man.

  5. Dont jump up to a class that you cannot handle. If you have experience in riding a 450, then maybe give it a try. Dont expect to win the first time out either....

You should start in the 250 class and see how you do first....
