  1. depends on your commitment, but to learnthe basics is not that hard, to master the basics will take a lifetime

  2. Only the beginning of learning the guitar

It personally really frustrated me to the point where I didn't want to play anymore, so I stopped playing it for a little while, then I picked it back up a month later and starting playing it again, and did well and I've been going strong ever since, about 5 years

You'll be learning the whole time you play guitar

So keep your mind open :D

  3. who need guitar lessons?

    im currently learning

    (by my self)

and i love it because when someone is teaching you they can get fustrated with you and get angry

but when your by your self u only get angry at your self and you just put down the guitar for a hour and come back u no

it is hard to lean but prastise

    starting is the hardest

    good luck

  4. It can be at times because I have to admit when I first started learning chords especially bar chords it was hard so, my advice is work hard and try your best and you will be a great guitar player in no time.

  5. first off, don't listen to Cass or whatever, she must have had a bad teacher or something...My teacher is very laid back, i tell him what i want to learn weather it be a song or a certain technique, and he shows me...It is quite hard when starting out because you will get frustrated, but stick with it...and you will build callouses so your fingers wont hurt as bad. Once you get the basics, things seem to flow much easier. I practice about 4-5 hours a day, and yes this is what it takes to become great...

  6. It's not necessarily hard, but it depends on how badly you want to learn.  When I was a kid, I was forced into it and I hated it.  In college though, I decided to give it another shot and now I love it.  It became much easier when I wanted it for me instead of for my parents.

To stay motivated, start with simple songs that you like that only use 3 or 4 chords.  You can play a bunch of great songs with G, C, Am, and D.

  7. Yes, it's hard to learn, lessons are super super helpful though. I don't think I'd ever be able to figure out half of this stuff by myself! At least take them for a few months so you can get all the basics down.
