I am addicted to nyquil is this bad?

i have been seriously depressed since may (i lost my best friend in an accident, the day before we were supposed to go to japan) and i've been taking nyquil just to sleep, i don't feel really addicted (i could be wrong, i'm not too sure) to it, i just like the fact that it makes me sleep a lot. can nyquil cause any sort of harm to my heart or brain?

Nyquil has alcohol in it; yes, you can get addicted to it.  Personally I love the stuff, but have to carefully ration its use.  Aside from the possible effects of overuse and/or interaction with other substances; it gets to be an expensive habit.

i would consider getting some counseling and talk to your doctor about a sleep disorder
