I am addicted to vicodin and just found out im 8wks pregnant..HELP PLEASE?

i have had 2 major back surgeries and have been prescribed vicodin for 2 years now. i take 10-12 pills each day(5/500), however, i just found out im 8wks pregnant! my dr says its ok to take it during pregnancy, just not that much and not every day for the whole pregnancy. im weaning myself down, but i want input from actual woman who have been in my shoes. did you take vicodin throughout pregnancy? how many? and how was your baby @ birth, and how is he/she now? if you havent been in these shoes, then PLEASE dont answer this question...i want input from women who know about this problem. thank you for your time and help!

talk to your doctor he can put you on suboxone which is a drug used to ween people off of opioid dependency. I work in pharmacy and you would be surprised just how many women are addicted to opioid and become pregnant. I don't think you should stick with that md either.
