  1. yes it is normal. my sister is terrified of roller coasters and she throws up after just one ride and while she is riding, she thinks she's going to die. It is totally normal and besides, everyone is afraid of something.

  2. Everybody has phobias. Yours just so happens to be of Roller Coasters, it's nothing abnormal. I'm personally terrified of bees. Some people aren't.

I personally love Roller Coasters, but I can understand how someone wouldn't like them. The stress whilst waiting in line for one, or just at the very beginning of one, going up the hill or whatever, it's very heavy.

It's simply something you're afraid of. If you really wish you weren't afraid of them, maybe you could just try to like them. Like, you can start with smaller ones that aren't very extreme. Then you can gradually start to go on bigger ones. If it's really that important to you, maybe you can get professional help.

But really, it's not "weird" that you're afraid.

  3. Of course. You probably have motion sickness - lots of people do, I used to. There are medications out there for that.

If your sickness is brought on by fear, that's perfectly normal too. Roller coasters are especially designed to make you afraid. That's how people find them enjoyable - like scary movies, they're made to scare you out of your wits. So don't worry if you're afraid of roller coasters, it's the way they're built.

However, roller coasters are also built to be perfectly safe. People go out, test, maintain, and ride roller coasters to ensure the safety of its passengers. (After all, they don't want to get sued, do they?) So you've nothing to fear, and nothing to be ashamed about.

  4. It's completely normal to be afraid of roller coasters... I, myself, used to be scared to ride them, but I overcame my fear, luckily.

I still won't ride just ANY roller coaster, but I'll go on the majority of them.

I don't like heights and inching up the hill is the worst part for me.

I also take Dramamine when I go to amusement parks.

How I got over my fear of roller coasters was part wanting to and part peer pressure... I started out with the small coasters and gradually worked my way up to the bigger ones.

Well, it all happened at Six Flags Magic Mountain, if you've been there.

I started on Ninja, then Revolution, and after that I went on Riddler's Revenge... &After that I was just fine! This last time I went I even rode X2 :) I mean, I didn't keep my eyes open the whole time, but none the less I went on it haha. (Very intense coaster, might I say)

Anyhow, if you want to get over your fear, it's totally possible. Don't give up! &If you don't like roller coasters, you don't like roller coasters.

    Good luck.
