First of all a bunny is not  reptile. In the future check which category you put you question in.

I don't buy reptiles from any of the large chain pet stores any more because they just don't provide proper care for them and several times when I brought one home from them it died within the first few days. As far as bunnies go look some where else for one. I shop at a small local pet store chain now that has several stores around Pittsburgh and they sell good animals. If you cannot find any where else Petland would be ok. I am against the puppy farm dogs they sell there but from what I have seen they provide ok care for their small animals.

You could try to find a local rabbit breeder. Why are you against Petsmart?

umm its basically the same store just a different name.  So if you're against petsmart you should be against petland and petco and any other major pet store chain.

Not all PetSmarts are created equal. My petsmart, for example, sells only animals from local shelters. Try looking in the newspaper or on Craigslist first and see if anyone is selling bunnies.

lol yahoo answers probally suggested she put this question in reptiles because people ask questions about feeding rabbits to snakes, good thing i onlt have to feed rats, might move on to rabbits soon though.
