I am very good at crafts and great with my hands. I am no use with a lawnmower, but I love animals. Any ideas?

  1. Make up some flyers!

Advertise your babysitting services, pet walking services, pet sitting, house sitting .. theres plenty of people you can attract with flyers!

Post them up with little tear off's with your phone # on them.. post them up at the post office, local stores and businesses!

  2. if you live in Australia. you can work over the age of 13, only a VERY limited amount..me and heaps of my friends do it and i am 13..but many many people will not hire you to do work..me and my bestie do orange picking-nothing major

  3. babysit. while your watching the kids, make crafts!

  4. You can't, sorry.

You might scour your neighborhood for the cans and bottles that have "redemption value" and turn them in.

Or... you'll need parental help with setting this up...

you can get an EBay account, and sell junk.  Junk can be found at garage sales... or as you mentioned, you're good with crafts.  One lady on EBay was selling tiny kites, 3 for $5.

  5. You might want to make stuff like origami (paper folding) and teach them how to do it or sculptures and sell them on Ebay. You can also help people in fixing or cleaning  stuff. If you have a low allowance, you might want to not buy anything in about a month.

  6. You can try a baking sale (with permission of course); car wash or general help around the neighbourhood like walking dogs, baby sitting, etc.

Unfortunately, 13 is a bit too young to get a real job so your options are limited to the more domestic chores. If you're great with craft, you can try teaching others or making things to sell at garage sales too.

  7. i know the whole lemonade stand idea is overdone why dont you try earning money at home to earn a few extra bucks..also fall is coming up why dont you try raking your neighbor's lawns of leaves or shovel driveways in winter...also why dont you babysit

  8. My advice is to do the following:

If you get an allowance, start saving that! You don't have to save all of it, but you could definitely put some away every week and still be able to spend some on yourself.

If you're good at arts and crafts, you can try to sell necklaces/braclets, things of the like to neighbours, craft fairs, etc...

You could also do things around the neighbourhood: do you know anyone who needs their gardens taken care of, their lawns mowed, their weeds killed? What if you offered to organize garages? Wash cars? Walk dogs? Babysit?

The trick is to find out what people need and see if you can help them out. That way you will be providing a service to them and they will be paying you for it. For example: do you know any elderly people who may want to pay you to carry groceries from the store for them?

These are just a few of the things you could do to earn a little extra money. I have written a more extensive article (with more suggestions) on my blog, which will also show you potentially what you could make: you can find it here

    Good Luck!

  9. I was thinking what I did as a 13 year old to make honest legal money and I came up with this: I used to baby sit, work summer jobs, do extra chores for my mom for payment(allowance), use my talents for extra money(artistic ability for teachers at my school doing calligraphy for school certificates and portraits of their families for Christmas gifts). My advice is to find a talent that you have that people will pay for and utilize it for extra money. Everyone has a talent you just need to find yours and use it or loose it!    I HOPE THAT HELPS:)
