Its not like I'm irresponsible either; I also wake up early in the morning regardless and I'm not tired or sleepy.

  1. it is kind of crazy ...i understand if you have to be in by 10pm...but to go to sleep at ten? they might as well give you a bottle and burp you...tell them it's 2008...my niece is 8 and has a cell phone

  2. fairly reasonable...

  3. yes it is. why do you think that you wake up early and aren't tired or sleepy? if you stayed up as late as you wanted it would be a completely different story. They are just setting boundries for you.

  4. Yes... not to mention that it is the legal curfew for minors in most areas.  If your under 18 and/or you still live at home, you have to respect your parents and abide by their rules.

  5. I'm 13 and I go to bed sometimes 9, 10, 11pm...my mum doesn't care when I go to bed but I think if I would stay up after 11 she would send me to bed...anyway um...maybe you should talk to them about it and tell them that you will still wake up early and wont sleep in...

  6. If it's 10:00 PM on school nights, then yes that seems very reasonable. Sounds like good parenting to me.

One word of advice...if you want to increase your chances of moving back your bedtime (or gaining any other new privileges) continue being responsible.

  7. Maybe your parents just want you to get enough sleep since you have to get up early in the morning. It is fairly resonable but if you don't feel the same way about it then talk to your parents about it and tell them that you are responsible and that your almost 16 now so maybe i could go to bed at 10:30 or 11 instead? Hope this helps!

  8. Yeah that's reasonable if you have school the next morning.  That was my curfew and bedtime too during the week.  The weekends my parents allowed me to stay out as late as I wanted provided I didn't get picked up by the police for curfew or for being a troublemaker.
