Yeah, I know that we can call loudly out...but I really want to know what is the official hand sign to say ball is out with out shouting loud.Me and my freind had arguement, I said that I that i feel showing the index finger up is "IN "and showing both hands away is "OUT". Infact I tried to google it but invain, could not find the answer.

Please some one answer my question and get rid of my ignorance.Thank you

  1. Pointing your pointer finger up means the ball is out.

Having your fingers together and hand flat (hope I'm describing it well), means the ball is in. Most people don't use the "in" sign, they just usually don't say anything.

  2. if you use one index finger, and hold it up... it is out

and if you hold your hand flat, palm facing the ground, fingers out, it is in. but you don't always need to show that it is in. you can just say good shot, etc.

  3. To signal your opponent to tell him the ball was out, you hold your index finger up high in the air. Most people prefer that you actually call the ball out with words instead of holding up your finger. It happened to me, and the kid got angry because he played the next point thinking that he won the last point when I called it out. Oops! =D

  4. Thanks

  5. when you put your hand and arm up that means the ball was long. if you pit your hand and arm to the right that means it was wide to the right. if you put your your hand and arm to the left that means it was wide to the left.
