I am american and my bf is canadian?

we just had a baby together,.. we dont live together and share custody of the baby, he is trying to get some benefits for daycare or school or anything he is entitled to in canada.. he has no idea where to begin, here in the us in Mi We go to Department of human services, where would he go ?

  1. My wife and I supported our 6 kids by getting jobs and working.  Perhaps after he checks on his entitlements he can drop off a few job applications.


  2. Depending on where he lives he could could go to his county of social services. Best place to start i think would be here:

    even if he cant be helped here, he could call those numbers and someone should be able to point him in the right direction

  3. I assume the baby is living in the US.  I don't know that any Canadian government (provincial or federal) is going to pay for daycare in the US.  Possibly there might be a claim for the "baby bonus", but I don't expect that would be easy either.
