Question:

I am an 18 year old girl, and I have just started learning how to snowboard. Is this too late to start?

I can ride green's without falling, and I can link turns. I can do drills such as falling leaf, garlands, and I can do toe-side and heel-side turns. I can also get off lifts without falling. Is it too late for me to become a good rider? I really am loving the sport, and I want to continue to get better. Is it possible? Also, do I need to take more lessons or now that I can link turns, is it ok to practice on my own? Can I get better just by practicing now that I am able to do snowboard basics a.k.a link turns?

  3. No it's not too late. As long as you enjoy it, keep doing it, and you'll get better as you go along. You don't have to be the best snowboarder in the world, just have fun, that's what snowboardings all about.

  8. Jesus Christ, GRANDMA! You should be learning how to use a walker at THIS age, not snowboarding! Leave that to us young hip 45 year olds!

  9. its never too late as long as your still in good health!!!

  10. it never too late.

  11. Never too late to start! Just remember to stretch out before you head down the hill.....warming up will help you keep from pulling muscles!

  12. ABSOLUTELY NOT =P

It is never to late to start snowboarding...

If you really like it there should be no reason to stop practicing...

When practicing always try your best and push yourself a little bit harder each time (but not to hard to hurt yourself ;P)

If you want to start doing tricks or even hitting jumps start making tiny jumps and gradually make the jumps bigger...

Then when you get used to going through the air try doing smaller tricks like Tail grabs, nose grab, methods, 180's...

    Hope this helps

  13. never! I've seen 30 year olds just start to learn. you are doing a great job.

it also depends on how often you go skiing and where. you also gotta just gain experience.

  14. take this from me...i've been snowboarding since I was like 8 (i'm 16 now) and i'm really good, but some of my friends are way better than me and havn't been snowboarding that long and some are over 18 and into their 20's. It's not too late to start. The main idea is to have fun!! good luck!

  16. No more lessons I am a good rider and I have no idea what half the stuff you named is. Ride as much as you can you obviously have a fundamental base at this point get your riding in and you'll do fine. Key number one is throw yourself into it, trying to hold back while you are riding is how you get hurt and how you keep from learning new stuff dont be afraid to eat a pile of snow it is part of the process
