After relaxing my hair every two weeks, my hair became dry and brittle(over processed). How can I correct my hair and get it back healthy and alive again.

  1. You can try K-Pak restoratives or Pantene Pro-V. Theyre super deep conditioning....you leave them on for around 5 mins and your hair will feel much better. I'm a swimmer so my hair gets super damaged from the chlorine, and thats what I use to get it back to normal.

(K-Pak is the best stuff to use)

  2. have you considered shaving it all off and starting over...

  3. 1-Get regular trims. It will get rid of the over processed hair

2-Stop relaxing every two weeks. It's not necessary for our hair. Try stretching relaxers to at least every 6-8 weeks.

3-Deep condition every two weeks. Deep conditioning does put a good amount of moisture in our hair.

4-Wear ponytails more often. I know it doesn't sound cute, but as a result of your hair not brushing against your clothes, split ends won't be as commonplace

5-Moisturize your hair. The product that you moisturize with shouldn't contain mineral oil or petrolatum/petroleum because that will clog your hair pores

I hope that helps some :-D

  4. Deep conditioning treatment from a salon would be the best to get it going. Then you need to use extra hydrating or repairing shampoos and conditioners. You will probably need a cut to get the damaged portions of your hair off so your hair can grow out nicer. If the ends are too badly damaged, then it will just grow for a short length then just break off (and you dont want that!)
