  1. Why don't you ask a mortgage banker over there and let us know...the worst they could do is say, "no."

  2. What is your terms of stay in the UK, If you do not have indefinite leave to remain a bank would be unlikely to take a risk on you

  3. It's possible - depends on how long you've lived here and what type of credit rating you have developed whilst being here. Only the banks can tell you if they'll lend to you or not.

  4. doubt it, most british citizens are eligible for a mortgage at the moment.

  5. Providing you are in employment and can meet the credit references and are in a position to repay, why not?

  6. Yes. it depends on how long you have been in UK and whether you have indefinite leave to remain, or long term working visa and obviously if you are in fulltime permanent employment. The banks think like this....if you couldnt pay...could they come after you in the legal sense, and that you are not going to take their money and run far far away.

  7. Subject to you being able to:

Stay in the uk for the duration of the mortgage.

Have good credit and able to put a deposit down.

And want to loose a shed load of money with real-estate prices lowering at present.
