I am an American who is moving with my Arabic husband and 2 year old to Dubai, any advice?

We will be living on a mid range income, and I just don't know what to expect. I wouldn't mind living outside of the city. Will life be very different from living in the US?

I'm an American who recently moved to Dubai. It is very hot and humid and its awful. It has a lot of good things to offer too but Dubai is really expensive. When you say mid range income what do you mean by that? To maintain the same American life style you need at least 30k/month for a family of 3. Rent and tuition are your biggest expenses. For a 2 year old you don't need to worry about school for now but very soon though. KG starts at 4 as opposed to 5 in America. Most kids start preK at 3, this will also ensure a spot in a good American school. Email me if you have any specific questions

You would love it.It is better that any city.Everything is availble, you don't feel as a stanger at all.

Dubai is a safe city "very low crimes" in multicultural country so there is a lot of American people and American community, feel safe ,,,,,no need to be worry

It will be different in Dubai... But don't worry, you said your husband is an Arab and Arabs can get a lot of job opportunities there...

Oh, congrats with the very young baby... And Arabic is the term for the Arab language...

American and Britain Embassies has issued warnings of some attacks that can be carried out on Dubai's Brit and American citizens by terrorists in public. Yes. life is surely different than US. I've heard everyone say Dubai is better than America.

Life there will be very different. All the buildings are so beautiful over there! The hotels are really expensive. You will have a great time there, but it is really expensive.
